Yellowstone: Change & Beauty Everywhere

My time in Yellowstone was unforgettable. The landscape here is so dynamic. It's literally changing before your eyes. The earth breathes, spouts, spews, boils, and bubbles. It's loud here. The sounds and smells are strange and startling. The colors of the sky, pools, and water, don't look real. I felt like I was on another planet, and yet it was my planet. It was spectacular during the daytime, but then I took a midnight drive through the park and experienced it from a totally different perspective. I will never forget it. I stopped beside some of the geysers at night to watch the steam rise into the air, in the moonlight. The stars above were some of the brightest I've seen (outside of Bryce Canyon). It's hard to describe. . . total solitude, no one around, Mother Earth and me, breathing together. Beautiful.
